A story set in winter.
background for an animation project we're currently involved.
There's something wonderful in creating worlds. Sometimes, the best part of a job is to imagine what is happening with the figures you're drawing, where they are and what might have happened before. During the making of something, it's not unusual for us to be swallowed by the mood of the story we're telling. It's like remembering something that really did happen to you and that you treasure fondly.
This is a little different from what we usually do. First, we're the "background artists" in this animation. On top of that, this "no lines, just shapes and colors" style, really makes all the images look uniquely distinct from our comic book work.
If we continue to work with this great animation company, we're in great danger of getting used of imagining our work in motion instead of frozen and set on the comic book page.
